Meet Our Stylists
Jennifer Butcher
Jennifer Butcher has a strong passion for hair and believes beauty is in the details! She’s a blonding specialist and lover of lived in beautiful colors. She started her career in Santa Monica graduating from Vidal Sassoon. From there she assisted celebrity colorist Jean Pierre Sosa in LA for two years, learning everything he knows. After working hard in LA, she had always dreamed of doing hair in San Diego and got a job assisting another Celebrity stylist and Salon Owner Sherri Belanger. She assisted for a short time and moved right up to working on the floor taking her own clients. Jennifer worked 4 years there until she found JH Med Spa. She loves coloring hair that looks natural, specializing in baby lights, highlights, glosses, base bumps, cover grey and is passionate about keeping the ingenuity of hair. Blonding takes time and if you are wanting to book an appointment with her, she’ll listen to you and discuss a process to achieve the look you’re looking for with consulting. Whatever color you’re looking for, Jennifer is happy to consult with you and book accordingly. Julia Takahashi
Born and raised in the Silicon Valley, Julia’s love for hair started at a young age when her mom would take her along to her hair appointments. Shortly after high school she attended cosmetology school and after graduating got hired at one of the top salons in Saratoga, CA.
From there Julia got the opportunity to full time assist one of the master stylists. While assisting her for two years Julia was flooded with knowledge of advanced techniques in color, cutting, and styling and created a strong foundation for her skills. After assisting Julia felt confident and started taking her own clients. She then moved to San Diego in June of 2018 for a new adventure. She got hired at Belle Sirene in La Jolla and worked there for almost 3 years. Really honing in on her skills there, Julia loves to bring out her clients beauty by creating bright lived in blondes and rich dimensional brunettes. Julia believes in constantly continuing her education and loves to take classes that allow her to stay updated on the latest techniques in all things hair. Julia is so excited to bring her skills to JH Med Spa. She loves the space and the calm and beautiful environment and the opportunity to be her own boss here.
